HARGEISA – The date for Somaliland’s presidential election was officially announced on Saturday.
The country’s presidential elections will take place on Monday, November 13th, 2017, NEC Chairman Abdikadir Iman Warsame announced.
“The Presidential Election will be held on Monday, November 13th, 2017. We are currently in the process of getting ready for the election. We are confident the elections will be held on time,” Warsame told reporters on Saturday.
President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo also issued a Presidential decree on Sunday, confirming November 13th as the date for the Presidential Election.
The second round of voter ID distribution is set to take place in the regions of Marodi Jeh and Togdheer next month.
