ADDIS ABABA – Musa Bihi Abdi, the chairman and presidential candidate of Somaliland’s ruling party, Kulmiye, arrived in the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, on Sunday (Oct 9) to hold discussions with senior Ethiopian government officials.
Upon arriving in Ethiopia, Abdi met with Ethiopian Foreign Minister, Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu. According to Kulmiye’s press office, the two sides discussed current relations between both countries and the need for stronger relations.
Kulmiye’s 1st Deputy Chairman, Mohamed Kahin Ahmed and Ahmed Mumin Seed are accompanying Abdi on the trip. Somaliland’s representative to Ethiopia, Ali Hussein Ismail Jirdeh, was also present at the meeting between Abdi and FM Gebeyehu.
Abdi and his delegation are expected to meet with more senior government during their trip.
