Government denounces Talyanle's claims, sends a stern warning to Waddani
Sahardiid says the Government will not accept Talyanle's claims.

HARGEISA – Somaliland’s Information Minister, Osman Abdullahi Sahardiid, on Sunday announced that the Government of the Republic of Somaliland recognizes Bashe Mohamed Farah as the winner of Sunday’s election, and denied that the election was rigged.

“The Government of the Republic of Somaliland recognizes Bashe Mohamed Farah as the sole and legitimate Speaker of Somaliland’s House of Representatives,” Sahardiid said.

“This is not Mogadishu, Somalia. This is the Republic of Somaliland. We have clear laws and stability. We will not tolerate Abdirahman Mohamed Talyanle’s claim to the Speakership,” Sahardiid said.

Sahardiid says that Waddani’s Presidential Candidate Abdirahman Irro, and Party Leader, Hersi Ali Haji Hassan ordered Talyanle to contest the election results and to declare himself the new Speaker of the House.

“It is clear that Waddani, and its leaders, Abdirahman Irro and Hersi Ali Haji Hassan, are the ones behind Talyanle’s claim. It is also clear that Waddani is intent on causing chaos and turmoil in Somaliland,” Sahrdiid said.
